ESD Audit, Inspection and Education Guide

Are you experiencing any of the following troubles or problems in your factory? Even if you are experiencing just one, we can help you by providing an ESD Inspection Service. The Inspection Service is an onsite evaluation of your current measures, in-house manufacturing and repair methods along with education provided by us for your personnel in charge of ESD. Moreover, we are certified by the NARTE as ESD Engineers. Please look over this list and check any of the ones that apply to your company.

1. ( ) Was an area of your production running fine one day but then it suddenly had a breakdown?

2. ( ) When preparing to start your test and inspection machine, did you suddenly have a breakdown?

3. ( ) Are your customers having rejections at their incoming inspection of the parts you supply? In the past you had no problems.

4. ( ) You have started to find a higher rate of failures but you have changed nothing in your production process.

5. ( ) You are not able to simulate breakdowns occurring at your end user even though you have tested your products using the HBM (Human Body Model) conditions at your factory.

6. ( ) While assembling RF related components you experience a CDM (Charged Device Model) failure but you are not able to find the cause.

7. ( ) In the failure analysis you are told that it is due to ultra-high impulse energy breakdown but you have no idea what the source could be.

8. ( ) You implement the ESD tools and measure as instructed by the manufacturer or distributor but you see no improvement in your results.

9. ( ) You are doubtful of the positive effects of ionizers so you have difficulty making the decision to implement them.

10. ( ) You experience a variance in the results of production depending on the lot or on the season of the year.

11. ( ) Your parent company has implemented an ESD control plan but there is no improvement on the yield rate.

12. ( ) You want to ship product that is protected against static electricity but you have no idea where to begin to make improvements in your manufacturing facility.

13. ( ) You have difficulty determining if the problem is static electricity at the userfs site or if it is from your factory.

14. ( ) Your design and production facilities cannot agree on the ESD control measures.

15. ( ) Since you do not understand the theoretical and basis for long term ESD control measures or
policies you do not know why you should implement them.

16. ( ) Since you have no way to model a Static Induction failure, you are unable to implement any preventative measures for your parts.

17. ( ) Recently you have been told to implement ESD control measures but you do not know who to trust for help.

18. ( ) You want to control static electricity at ultra low levels down to 1-10 volts but you do not know what measures to take.

19. ( ) You are wondering whether your lower yield rates are due to static electricity or if they are caused by some other factor.

20. ( ) You want to know if any of your devices are affected by EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) but you do not know how to test them or where to turn to for advice.

21. ( ) Recently your production line has gone down frequently. However when getting it back up and running you cannot find the cause and therefore cannot prevent it from happening again.

22. ( ) Recently you have a robot or other equipment that performs some function that is not normal. You ask the manufacture about it but they say they have never seen the problem before. You want to solve the problem but have no way to find the cause.
